Stranger Things 4 Finale- A cinematic Event!!!

Spoilers Included!!!

The day has finally come and you can now stream the final 2 episodes to Stranger Things 4.

First of all what an ending to the season it was jam lacked full of emotion and action and ended on a great cliffhanger setting up what is to come in their final adventure in season 5.

Starting with the end teases it seems that the upside down is now leaking into our world and has started to infect Hawkins by killing off plant life. It also seems that Vecna is in fact still alive as Will says at the end that he can still feel him and that he wants revenge. This teases one hell of a showdown in season 5.

Speaking of Will we finally got to see his painting and it was that of the group being led by Mike who is said to be the heart of the group. It was also seemingly confirmed that Will is in fact gay and that his brother always knew. That scene between Will and Jonathon was fantastic and Noah Schnapp smashed that scene. Also it seems Wills connection to the upside down will be an important factor moving into the final season.

Caleb McLaughlin also shined in thses last 2 episodes mainly with his confrontation with Jason and relived a really emotional performance when he thought that Max had died.

Speaking of Max, give Sadie Sink her Emmy now because she really did steal this whole season away. She once again delivered a phenomenal performance in these final 2 episodes, especially with that heart wrenching speech to try and lure Vecna to come and get her. It will be very interesting to see what they do with her character in season 5 considering she survived an encounter with Vecna twice.

Finally the last stand out for me in the final 2 episodes was obviously Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, who also gave it her all this season with an incredible show down with Vecna, to her finally getting to reunite with Hopper which just pulled at your heartstrings.

The big death that stood out for me was Eddies as they had a beautiful scene between him and Dustin which both actors again just blew it out of the water.

The one character I was disappointed by this season was Mike as I feel he didn’t really have much to do. I feel he was only there to help show that Will had feelings towards him and then to help save Elven at the end, apart from that he seemed wasted this season.

The only real problem I had with the ending is that I was expecting one of the main group to die, but in fact all of them got out alive. As Max survived with Elevens help and is now just in a coma. However I was getting the idea that Steve was going to die so was quite shocked when he made it out alive.

Overall, this season didn’t even feel like a TV show it felt like a cinematic event. I do wonder how they ar going to top this in season 5 but we shall see.

Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Premier Review!!!

Only Murders is back with a bang! With a brand new mystery murder for our characters to solve but this time they are in the eye of the storm. The premise for this series is that our three mai. Characters are being framed for the murder of Buuny who we saw in Mables apartment at the end of season 1.

Hulu and Disney released the first two episodes and it is just as strong as season 1, however this season is full steam ahead from the second it starts with lots of twits and turns already. The murder this season is just as strong as the first season and once again plays with the minds of everyone in the building.

Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short all deliver amazing performances again this season and you can just tell how good friends they are in real life as the chemistry they have together is off the charts and seeing them all work together again is great.

Overall season 2 is off to a very strong start and it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds and where the mystery and the characters goes.

Top Gun Maverick passes $1 billion!!!

Top Gun Maverick is still doing very strong business at the box office as this weekend the film official crossed $1 billion at the box office. It has now passed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to become the highest grossing movie at the box office this year. It is also only the second move of the Coronavirus Pandemic era to pass $1 billion at the box office behind Spider-Man No Way Home which released in theatres last December.

However in very unusual events both Elvis and Top Gun have tied at the box office at number 1, bringing in $30.5 million over the weekend. This shows that the theatre industry is finally getting as strong as it was pre pandemic as it looks like those older audiences who have been reluctant to return have for both Top Gun and Elvis.

Jurassic World Dominion is still doing good business at the box office as it brought in an estimated $26 million this weekend slightly less then Fallen World but is still a respectable amount. This should put the film tomorrow at around $750 million worldwide which is very good considering the terrible reviews it got, proving that inserts in the franchise is still high.

However with some not good news for Disney and Pixar Lightyear fell a massive 74% this past weekend and in only it’s second weekend only managed to pick up another $17 million. This is defiantly not what Disney was hoping for as it is a spinoff from Pixar’s most successful franchise Toy Story.

What did you see this weekend and why do you think Lightyear is underperforming at the box office?

The Jurassic Franchise isn’t dead yet, while Lightyear underperforms.

Lightyear was released this weekend and accumulated an underwhelming $51 million coming in at number 2. Projections had this film coming in with more at around $70 million due to it being related to the Toy Story franchise and focusing on one of its lead characters. There are several factors which seem to affected Lightyear performance, one being that Jurassic World Dominion is doing strong buissness at the box office despite its very weak reviews, clearly showing that peole are willing up to see this franchise no matter what. Also there is the fact that Lightyear doesn’t seem to be a home run for critics either with a franchise low score of 77%. The low box office seems to indicate that audiences aren’t interested in spin-offs and only care about the main Toy Story franchise itself. It also underwhelmed oversees only bringing in $34 million taking the worldwide total to $85 million.

Looking at the rest of the box office it seems that the Jurassic franchise can’t be killed after all, as in its second weekend it remained at number one with $58.6 million, which brings its domestic total to $259 million. Oversees Dominion passed $300 million bringing its worldwide total to $622.2 million in its second weekend. Also in its fourth weekend Top Gun Maverick continues to do really strong business as it gained another $44 million this past weekend becoming the most successful movie domestic passing Doctor Strange. The film has also passed £885 worldwide making it the biggest film in Tom Cruises career. Finally Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness came in at number 4 and has passed $400 million domestic now having a total of $405 million domestic. Internationally it made another $3 million and its worldwide total is now at $942.5M and is expected to end its run with between $950-$970M.

Ms Marvel Ep 1 Review- Iman Vellani is Kamala Khan!!!

The first episode of Ms Marvel has dropped and Disney Plus and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I expected the show to be fun and enjoyable but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. The show blew me away with its first episode and has made me the most excited I have been for a marvel show since the start of Wandavison.

This show is especially good if you are a hardcore MCU fan as Kamala Khan is a big MCU fan herself so it makes the character that more relatable.

The one big change from the comic is that she is no longer an inhuman and instead gets her powers from a bracelet passed down through her family. As an Agents of Shield fan I am a bit disappointed that she is no longer an inhuman, but I do understand the changer in her powers as it helps her blend in with Captain Marvel, whose movie she will appeared in next summer.

The story is a traditional coming of age story, with the addition of living in a superhero world and living in a Pakistani family. This show reminds be very much of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, so if you like that show you will defiantly like this.

Matt Lintz is also in this show playing Bruno, Kamala’s best friend who is also an inventor. Him and Iman have great chemistry together and bounce off each other really well which helps sell their really close bond and friendship.

Also I have to talk about Avengers Con, which would be a great idea to actually do as it is similar to Star Wars celebration.

Overall, I really enjoyed this show and am excited to see where the story goes next and to see what else her powers can do, but one thing is for certain and that is that Iman Vellani is Kamala Kahn.

Black Adam Trailer Review- A new “hero” for the DC Universe!!!!!

The first official trailer for Black Adam, staring Dwayne Johnson has finally been released. It gives us our first good luck at the film which has been in development at Warner brothers for years, but is finally due to come out this October.

The first thing of nite about this trailer is that it looks very unique and different to what DC has done before and offers a new take on the DC universe. While the trailer doesn’t offer much in the way of what the story is about it does show off several of the new characters being introduced in the movie, such as Pierce Brosnans Doctor Fate.

It also shows a new side to the DCEU by expanding the scope to new locations as it looks to be telling a new and u inquest story. Dwayne Johnson seems like perfect casting for this role of Black Adam, as he is not your typical superhero, as he seems to be more of an Antihero.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 and Madison Returns!!!!

Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 came to a close this evening with the finale. This season has been quite a controversial one with many fans critiquing the writing and the slow pacing of the season. One of the biggest critiques of the season has been the anthology story telling. This worked really well in season 6, however it made season 7 drag and made you bored of the story as it was taking to long to get to the next big story point.

However going into season 8 it seems to be a bit more promising. This is as in the finale we saw the return of Madison Clarke played by the wonderful Kim Dickens, whose character was last seen in the mid season finale of season 4 all the way back in 2018. Her character was assumed dead after saving her family by distracting the walkers in the stadium. With the return of her character, we get the heart off the show back as she was the original protagonist of the show. It will also be interesting to see how characters such as Strand, Luciana and Daniel react to finding out she is alive. It is a disappointment that we won’t get a reunion with Alicia, however it makes sense due to the fact Alicia Debnam-Carey decided to leave the show after 7 seasons. With the return of Madison Clarke hopefully we will again start to focus on the main characters and forget the individual anthology telling of the show.

It also seems that we are finally going to have one focused story next season, with Morgan and Madison trying to expose Padre for what it is and to help rescue the children that Padre have stolen. This is promising as for the last few seasons the show has just been about these characters trying to find a safe place to live. Hopefully this new story helps give some direction to the show.

Moving to the future of Fear, I believe that it’s days are numbered with either season 8 being the final season or them making season 9 the final season. The show has become to large and has lost its focus so it’s time to warp it up. It would make sense for Morgan to find out Rick is alive and in trouble and have his character set off on a mission to find him, similar towhat Michonne is doing. Also as they love their spinoff shows I would have one focusing on Madison and Strand on a mission to find out what happened to Alicia and have them go off on their own journey to find her.

Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness Review- A fun, Whacky, Violent entry into the MCU!!!

The hugely anticipated Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has finally been released, after months of speculation the big question was could it live up to the hype. The answer to this is both yes and no.

This film by far is the most violent film from the MCU with really strong horror moments which are clearly from the director Sam Rami. This darker tone helps it stand out from anything that the MCU has done before.

The performances in this film were also phenomenal with everyone doing their very best work in this film. However the stand out in this film is Elizabeth Olsen as The Scarlet Witch. She continues to make Wanda such a complex character, even as she does some horrid things in this movie you still feel for her as you know everything she has lost and that all she wants is to be a mother, which is clear throughout this film. If any comic book actor can break through at the Oscar’s it has got to be Elizabeth Olsen for best supporting actress as she just gave this film her all and you could just feel it.

The plot of this film is good nothing amazing or out of this world but it’s a solid story, but with great action and pacing. I would say though that the film could of done with some extra time to breathe as it was just going for it none stop.

Now going back to the question did it live up to the hype? If you are a big Wanda and Doctor Strange fan then you will absolute love this movie as this movie is their movie. However if you are going into this film to see the Multiverse and loads of variations of past marvel characters then I feel you may be disappointed. This is as there are T many multiverse characters in this film and those that are were mostly revealed in the marketing for this film. I was only shocked by two appearances in the film. However if you go in understanding this is a sequel to Doctor Strange and a continuation of Wandavison then you will have a fantastic time with this film.

Overall I would say this is a great, fun and violent MCU film with a lot of emotion coming for, Wanda. If you like the MCU and especially if you love Wanda and Doctor Strange then you will have a lot of fun with this movie.

Why HBO Max should save BatWoman!!!!!

The news has just broke that BatWoman has been cancelled after three seasons by the CW and will not be returning for a fourth season. This is obviously such a stupid decision as BatWoman season 3 was by far the strongest of the show so far and it has become one of the best arrow-verse shows all together.

Javicia Leslie joined the show to lead in season 2 and has done an exceptional job at portraying this new version of BatWoman and deserves the opportunity to at least close her story off in a satisfying way. Also the flash has gone downhill in quality yet that is still get renewed for more seasons.

HBO Max have previously stated that all the CW DC shows perform really well on their service so I think it would make perfect sense for them to at least pick it up for one final season to finish the story, which would in turn also help boost subscribers to their platform.

Overall I think the CW has made a mistake cancelling this show especially as it is the show with some of the strongest LGBTQ+ representation, and it would make perfect sense for HBO Max to save it.

Why dropping Carol from the Daryl and Carol spin-off is a terrible idea!!!!

The news came out earlier today that Melissa Mcbride will no longer be part of what was known as the Carol and Daryl show and it will now just focus on Daryl in Europe. It’s being said that Melissa couldn’t stay in Europe for the duration of filming so she was dropped from the show.

First of all I think that instead of trying different options for the location of the show they just decided to get rid of Carol, is a bad idea as part of the excitement of this spin-off is that it would continue Daryl and Carols relationship which has been there from the start. This news has dampened my excitement for this show now as I feel that we will have lost some of the heart of the show.

In addition to it being less exciting without Carol on board. It also shows the problems with AMC announcing projects to early. Many walking dead fans have been critical at AMC for spoiling their own shows my making announcements before hand. For example they announced Kim Dickens was returning as Madison and also announced the Maggie and Negan Spin-off. By announcing this spin-off over a year ago it has had peoples hopes up for something before it was all confirmed.

Overall I hope that in the near future we will be able to see Carols journey counting in some form and that AMC stop announcing projects before they are ready.
