Netflix Top 10: Wednesday breaks viewership record!!!

Netflix has released its viewing record for the week of November 21-27. And what a week it was for Netflix.

Starting with the biggest story, Wednesday officially debuted to the biggest opening for and English language series ever beating Stranger things 4 from earlier in the year. This is a big deal for Netflix as Stranger things is coming to an end so having a new flagship show would help them a lot. Wednesday has been met with both critical and audience acclaim., especially for the lead Jenna Ortega. Expect a renewal to be announced very soon most likely for multiple seasons and expect a lot of opportunities for the main cast to open up after this!!!

All previous series Dead to Me, 1989 and the crown are still doing string number still, with Dead to me and 1899 barely dipping below their debut hours viewed in their second week.

Manifest also still proves to be a good save for Netflix as three of the four seasons are in the top 10 with four still doing good numbers. Season 1 of Manifest is also still in the top 10 after 23 weeks, showing the strength of this series and how people are still beginning to discover the show. It will be interesting to see how big season 4 part 2 will be on the service some time next year.

However it’s not all good news for warrior nun fans as only after 3 weeks it’s nearly out of the top 10 with just over 11 million hours watched. This doesn’t bode well for a season 3 which fans are calling for in social media.

Now moving over to films, in its second week slumberland managed to take the number one spot however it’s numbers are still mediocre with only 45 million hours watched. Netflix’s Christmas movie of the week debuted to okay numbers at number 2 with over 36 million hours watched. In its third week falling for Christmas is still holding on at number 5. Also Enola Holmes 2 is still doing well in its fourth weekend, expect an announcement for a third film.

That’s it for this week, so what did you watch this week on Netflix?
