Jackass Forever won this weekend with $23.5 Million at the box office. This was a better take then expected and is likely due to the high critical reception and the high turnout of young moviegoers with 18-34 counting towards 67% of tickets sold. This is another win for Paramount after Scream becoming a success in January, with a sixth instalment on its way.

Moonfall came it at number 2 gaining only $10 million for the entire weekend. The film cost $140 million to make meaning that the film won’t likely even be able to break even. However this is expected as disaster flicks have been going on a downhill spiral with Moonfall continuing this trend.

Spider-Man No Way Home was unseated from its number 1 spot today but still managed to hang in there in the top 3. In its 8th weekend it managed to pull in another $9.6 Million, cementing it as one of the most successful films of all time. It also means that it’s only $11.1 million from surpassing James Cameron’s Avatar domestically. After this success Sony isn’t giving up as they announced earlier in the week Dakota Johnson was cast as Madame Web.

The rest of the box office was quite slow with Scream 5 and Sing 2 both making around $4 million each coming in at 4th and 5th respectively.
